On Wednesday, Kentucky State Police was contacted to investigate a fatal residential fire at 192 Riordan Road, in Horse Cave.
Police said the Horse Cave and Cave City Fire Departments responded to the scene and extinguished the blaze. An unidentified subject was discovered deceased in a bedroom inside the residence, which was destroyed by the fire.
The deceased subject, whose name has not been released, was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville for an autopsy.
No foul play is suspected at this time. The investigation is ongoing and being led by Kentucky State Police Arson Investigators.
