For the second since Saturday, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting and searching for the shooting suspect.
Police said that at approximately 5:00 Saturday afternoon, an unnamed man arrived at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow suffering from several gunshot wounds. The victim’s wounds were non-life threatening and he was later released.
After speaking with the victim, the sheriff’s office obtained an arrest warrant for attempted murder for the alleged shooter, 28-year-old Joshua D. Geralds, of Glasgow. Geralds remains on the run from law enforcement.
Then, on Monday afternoon at approximately 4:30, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at 1786 Oak Grove Church Road.
After arriving at the scene, authorities found a female that had been shot twice, and the shooter had fled on foot.
The victim was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Police are currently searching for 28-year-old Cody Bartley as a person of interest in this investigation.
In September 2016, Bartley was arrested after pointing a gun at someone as he drove on Happy Valley Road, in Glasgow. The Glasgow Daily Times reports that during Bartley’s arrest, police found a .38 caliber revolver underneath the seat of his truck, along with a tactical knife and a tomahawk. Prescription pills and a bag with suspected drug residue were also found in the vehicle.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Bartley or Geralds is asked to contact the Barren County Sheriff’s Office at 270-651-2771, or local law enforcement.
