The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Grayson and surrounding counties which will be in effect until Monday night at 9:00.
Snow is expected to begin falling in the area at about noon on Monday with accumulation of up to two inches. The chance of snow will be at its peak between 2:00 and 7:00 Monday afternoon and evening, with snow chances dwindling as the evening wears on.
Currently, secondary roads continue to be ice covered and very slick. The additional precipitation is likely to further complicate driving conditions. And with local temperatures not forecast to rise above freezing until the end of the week, driving will remain hazardous on the bulk of Grayson County’s roadways.
