6 Simple Snacks You Can Make Using Snow

With all the talk of snow in the forecast, and on the ground for that matter, I have started craving my Papaw’s Homemade Snow Cream that he used to make for all us grandkids every time that it would snow. He would walk out to the front porch and gather all the clean top fallen snow and make one of the most delicious treats you could ever ask for. So this got me thinking, what other foods can be made using snow as a main ingredient and are they nearly as amazing as I imagine them to be? So, I did my research and well, here ya go! Here are 6 Snacks You Can Make Using Snow:

1. Snow Cream: Down here in Kentucky, Snow Cream is a must-have for the PERFECT Snow Day. Need a great recipe? Check this one out.

2. Snow Slushies: Go out and gather some tightly packed snow, mix in some frozen fruits and your favorite flavoring and you have fresh snow cones!

3. Maple Snow Candy: This was a completely new concept to me. You can apparently make Maple Candy using SNOW! Check out the super cool recipe from Genius Kitchen here.

4. Snow Pancakes: Who knew you could make pancakes using snow? This recipe is so cool and would be so fun to try out with the kiddos…and I will take a sampling with a side of bacon!

5. Hot Cocoa Snow Slush: I found this recipe on TreeHugger.com when doing research for this post, and I think a Hot Cocoa Snow Slush sounds AMAZING! Do you? Check out the recipe!

6. Snow Popsicles: Go out and gather some clean snow, add flavoring, a Popsicle stick and pop them in the freezer. Wait a few hours and then you officially have a Snow Popsicle!
