Sunday morning at approximately 10:15, Kentucky State Police responded to a two-vehicle accident near the 12000 block of Franklin Road, in Allen County.
The preliminary investigation indicates that 27-year-old Leslie A. Adams, of Franklin, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet HHR west on Franklin Road when she approached a hillcrest. Police said an uninvolved vehicle, located ahead of Adams, was stationary in the westbound lane waiting to turn left. As Adams tried to avoid a collision she drove into the eastbound lane, striking a 2012 Chrysler 200 head-on.
Adams was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the Chrysler, 42-year-old Barrett Wright, of Bowling Green, and his passenger, 42-year-old Larissa Harris, of Franklin, suffered only minor injuries.
