The 15-year-old Madison County girl who went missing from Berea Community School on Wednesday has been found.
The Berea Police Department said in a social media post, “Amber Wagers has been located safe and sound in Louisville. We want to thank the Kentucky State Police, Louisville Metro Police and the FBI for their assistance in this case. This investigation is ongoing, but we want to thank everyone for spreading the word. Once again, Amber has been located.”
She was found Thursday night.
Amber left her school with an unknown person Wednesday morning at about 10:00. Police said at the time that Amber may have left with someone she met on social media. After leaving the school campus with the person, Amber messaged a friend that she thought they were going to Ohio and to contact police.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
