A Grant County deputy jailer has been arrested after being accused of sexually abusing inmates, and bringing contraband into the jail.
Police said 24-year-old Amber Wyatt, of Sparta, slapped, poked and touched inmates in a sexually inappropriate way, while also bringing the inmates soft drinks, candy and e-cigarettes. She is also accused of allowing inmates to place over $3,000 worth of stolen property into their property bags.
Wyatt was arrested Saturday and charged with 10 counts of promoting contraband and 10 counts of sexual abuse.
She was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center but has since been released.
