Employee of Louisville Jimmy John’s restaurant diagnosed with Hep A

Health officials in Louisville say an employee of a Jimmy John’s restaurant has tested positive for Hepatitis A.

The restaurant is question is located at 332 West Broadway. Officials say customers who ate at the restaurant, or had food delivered from that location between May 31 and June 6 may have been exposed to the virus.

Health officials did say in a Tweet on Tuesday that the risk of contracting the virus from the restaurant staff is low.

Since the Hep A outbreak began in the fall of last year, health officials say there have been 455 cases diagnosed in Louisville, with more than 75,000 people vaccinated.
