The Somerset woman caught on video forcing her 14-year-old daughter to drink has had her probation revoked, and now must spend 20-years in prison.

Miranda G. Polston, 35, was previously convicted of several charges, including burglary. She was originally given five years probation on a 20-year sentence. But a judge has revoked her probation.

Polston was ordered by the court to abide by several conditions as part of her probation, including not possessing or drinking alcohol and not breaking any laws, according to a report by the Herald-Leader. Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney David Dalton asked Circuit Court Judge David Tapp to revoke Polston’s probation based on violations of those conditions. Tapp then ruled Polston had violated the ban on having or using alcohol and that she had put her daughter in a position that could have caused her serious injury. Tapp also ruled that Polston posed a danger to others and could no longer be adequately supervised on probation.

Polston was arrested in late March after authorities received a tip that there was a video on social media showing Polston forcing her daughter to drink. Police obtained a copy of the video, which contained people laughing at the teenager, as well as Polston saying she could get a “thousand million dollars” from MTV for the video.

Polston told police that she had caught her daughter drinking and gave her alcohol to punish her and show her alcohol is bad.

The video, in which one can hear the girl making gurgling sounds, shows the teen to be “highly intoxicated,” according to police, and she eventually fell out of a chair face-first.

Police said the video will not be released because the victim is a juvenile.
