
On Tuesday afternoon, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Beaver Dam man on over 700 counts of rape, sexual abuse and sodomy.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office said after a two-month investigation, police arrested 63-year-old William C. Lindsey on charges dating back to 1989. Authorities said at this point in the investigation, there are two victims who were juveniles when the alleged crimes first took place. At least one of the juveniles is related to Lindsey, and at least one victim was under the age of 12 when the abuse started.
Lindsey was taken into custody and lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center. He has been charged with 101 counts of first-degree rape (domestic violence), 100 counts of second-degree rape, 200 counts of first-degree sexual abuse (victim under the age of 12), 200 counts of first-degree sodomy (victim under the age of 12), 100 counts of first-degree sodomy, two counts of incest (victim under the age of 12), and second-degree sexual abuse.
He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
