Louisville man accused of raping two-year-old girl, choking girl’s mother

A Louisville man is in custody after being accused of raping a two-year-girl.

Hani Auda Al-Kannas, 45, allegedly assaulted the mother of the girl at her home by grabbing her by the throat as she confronted him about the incident. A man also confronted Al-Kannas, with the suspect also choking him.

According to a report, originally published by WDRB.com, Al-Kannas threatened to cut the mother’s tongue out. He additionally threatened to kill the two-year-old child as well as her siblings.

Al-Kannas was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with first-degree rape, two counts of wanton endangerment and three counts of terroristic threatening.

He is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
