A central Kentucky woman has died after being attacked by a pit bull.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office said 45-year-old April Collins, of Winchester, suffered the fatal injuries Friday morning. She died after being transported to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, according to media reports. The cause and manner of death are pending autopsy.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
