Recognized for their years of service were:

- 2nd District Magistrate Presto Gary for his 16 years of service on Fiscal Court as well as his three-and-a-half years of service at the Grayson County Detention Center
- 3rd District Magistrate Brenda Huffman for her two years of service (Huffman was not present)
- 4th District Magistrate Jason Dennis for his 16 years of service
- 5th District Magistrate Brad Brown for his eight years of service
- 6th District Magistrate Curtis Wells for his 20 years of service
- County Attorney Clay Ratley for his eight years of service
- County Clerk Sherry Weedman for her nearly 28 years working in the Clerk’s Office, eight as County Clerk
Henderson said that he will also award the late Bill Skaggs’ family with a “Coin to the City” and a framed Certificate of Service for his 14 years serving as 3rd District Magistrate. Additionally, Henderson will honor former Judge-Executive Gary Logsdon, who was out of town on Tuesday, for his 23 years of service to the county with a “Coin to the County” and Certificate of Service.
Purchase of property
Henderson reported that the county is purchasing approximately three-quarters of an acre of land directly behind the Old Judicial Building. Phillip Smith is selling the land to the county for $60,000, to be paid in the following installments: $20,000 immediately; $20,000 in January 2019; and $20,000 in January 2020.
