A Fordsville couple has been arrested after authorities spotted drugs while serving a probation violation warrant.

According to Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty, the Ohio County deputies were serving the warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Richards Road on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 when authorities saw methamphetamine in plain view.

Police then searched the home and located additional methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to Beatty.

Deputies arrested 52-year-old Robert Leary and 35-year-old Candy Allgood, both of Fordsville, and charged each with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both suspects were also served with probation violation warrants.

They are lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center. Kentucky State Police assisted deputies at the scene.
