The Kentucky bank robber, labeled “The Traveling Bandit,” has been arrested in Colorado.

The FBI said 49-year-old Jason Lee Robinson, of Pikeville, was arrested Thursday on federal bank robbery charges stemming from a Florida heist in December. He was arrested by FBI agents in Fruita, Colorado, just west of Grand Junction and about 50 miles east of the Utah state line.

Investigators believe Robinson is responsible for at least seven bank robberies since December 28 in Florida, North Carolina, Alabama, Illinois, Tennessee, and Utah. He most recently robbed a bank in Price Branch, Utah, according to federal authorities.

During the manhunt for Robinson, officials theorized he was from Kentucky after surveillance video captured him driving an SUV with a Kentucky license plate.

Robinson is being held in the Mesa County (CO) Detention Center.
