BREAKING NEWS: Preliminary autopsy results for formerly missing Anneta man found dead of bottom of cliff are released

The preliminary autopsy results for the formerly missing Anneta man found dead on Saturday at the bottom of a 30-foot cliff have been released.

Michael Kerry Williams, 57, was found deceased by Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Jarrod Mudd and Lt. Sonny Poteet at the bottom of the cliff near his home, located at 644 Foxwood Circle. Williams had been missing since January 13.

According to the State Medical Examiner’s Office, Williams’ body displayed “Multiple blunt force trauma injuries to (the) head and torso sustained in a descent from a cliff.”

The preliminary results said Williams suffered internal bleeding, kidney damage and rib fractures in the fall.

Toxicology results are pending. The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is leading the death investigation.
