The inmate who escaped from Green River Correctional Complex in Muhlenberg County has been captured.

Kentucky State Police said that Saturday morning at approximately 6:15, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office captured 44-year-old Charles Pedigo, of Scottsville, at a residence on H.E. Johnson Road (near Alvaton) after a homeowner notified law enforcement that a male was on her porch trying to quiet her dogs.

Upon responding, deputies arrested Pedigo and lodged him in the Warren County Regional Jail.

Pedigo was released from prison in early November 2018, but had his parole revoked in January of this year, according to the Department of Corrections.

Between 2011 and 2018, Pedigo was convicted on a total of 14 charges in Allen, Hardin and Simpson Counties. His convictions include multiple counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, manufacturing methamphetamine, assault of a parole or police officer, wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence, and fleeing or evading police, among other charges.

The Green River Correctional Complex is a 982 bed minimum/medium security prison in Central City.
