Two Kentucky teachers have been arrested after placing recording devices in school restrooms.

The Murray Police Department responded to Murray High School on Thursday after school staff found a recording device in the bathroom of the nurse’s station. Police said the video recorder captured the person putting the device in place, resulting in the arrest of 53-year-old Mark Boggess, a teacher and track and field coach at the school.

He has been charged with three counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and four counts of voyeurism. He was transported to the Calloway County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. He is no longer listed as an inmate.

Boggess has been suspended with pay while the investigation continues.

On April 21, a Lyon County Middle School teacher was arrested at his residence in Webster County after the Lyon’s County Sheriff’s Office said he set up a cell phone in a bathroom to record a specific girl, according to media reports.

Michael McCuiston, 33, of Providence, was also a coach at the school. He has resigned his position.

McCuiston was arrested by Kentucky State Police and has been charged with installing an eavesdropping device and tampering with physical evidence. He is being held in the Webster County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
