A two-and-a-half-year investigation into an inmate death at the Fulton County Detention Center has yielded four indictments, including a former corrections officer.
Kentucky State Police said the result of its investigation into the death of inmate Kyle Combs, 28, who overdosed at the jail on October 26, 2016, was recently presented to a Fulton County Grand Jury. That presentation resulted in three former inmates and a corrections officer at the western Kentucky jail being indicted on drug and other charges.
Those indicted were:
Daniel J. Thomas, 35, of Fulton, a former corrections officer at the jail was indicted on one count of first-degree wanton endangerment.
Former inmates Danny B. Wilder Jr, 35, of Marion; Steven Juniper, 28, of Sandy Hook; and Ronnie C. Littlejohn, 29, of Cincinnati, Ohio, were indicted for trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first-degree promoting contraband, tampering with physical evidence, possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), and being a persistent felony offender.
The investigation is ongoing.
