A Hardin County woman was arrested after breaking her mother’s hip.

Melanie Ross, 46, of Elizabethtown, is accused of assaulting her mother Saturday afternoon at her mother’s residence in the 500 block of Sunrise Lane, in Elizabethtown. She allegedly clawed at her mother’s face before throwing her to the ground, according to the News Enterprise. Ross’ mother told police that after being thrown to the ground, her daughter stomped on her stomach.
