Police are investigating after an elderly Laurel County man was found deceased in the driveway of his home after he apparently caught fire.
Friday morning at approximately 9:30, first responders arrived at a home in Yorkshire Estates Road, about three miles south of London. Upon arrival, police found 86-year-old Billy Bowling burned to death in his driveway.
The Laurel County Coroner said authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding Bowling’s death, but police do not suspect foul play, with the coroner saying Bowling’s death “was probably an accident,” according to media reports.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Saturday in Frankfort.
