Three suspects, including two teenagers, have been charged with robbing a woman who thought she was on date arranged on Tinder, a dating app.
The victim arrived at Lampkin Park, on Morgantown Road in Bowling Green, on Thursday afternoon to supposedly meet her date when she was assaulted and robbed by 21-year-old Kenan Husic and 18-year-old Admir Becirovic, according to police. A 17-year-old male drove the second vehicle that arrived at the park. All three suspects are from Bowling Green.
The victim told police that as she waited for her date, a vehicle parked next to her. She let the man in her car, thinking it was her date. Then, a second car pulled in behind the victim’s car. Another man approached the victim’s car armed with a firearm and stole her purse and phone. The woman was then struck in the head with what she told police was a gun.
Husic and Becrirovic were arrested late Thursday night after the Bowling Green PD located the vehicle used in the robbery. Inside the vehicle was the victim’s purse and a firearm. The juvenile turned himself into police on Friday and admitted to his role in the crime.
Husic was charged with first-degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence while Becirovic and the juvenile were charged with first-degree robbery. Both suspects were lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail but they are no longer listed as inmates. The juvenile suspect also faces felony charges.
The victim was treated at a Bowling Green hospital for a head injury.
