Betty Sue Hogan Brooks, age 69, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Thursday, (June 27, 2019) at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY.
She was born on June 15, 1950 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Willard and Bessie Lacefield Hogan.
She was a housewife and homemaker, who enjoyed reading, watching television and playing with the grandchildren and was a member of the Union General Baptist (Rabbit Flat) Church.
She is survived by her husband, Boyd Brooks, her daughter, Beverly Milam (Antony) of Falls of Rough, KY, her son, Michael Brooks (Melanie) of Clarkson, KY, five grandchildren, Morgan Ray, Alexander Milam, Gavin Piercy, Gage Meredith and Carter Milam, two great-grandchildren, Paisley Brooks and Olivia Ray, her mother, Bessie Hogan of Leitchfield, four brothers, Billy of Leitchfield, Sonny of Millwood, KY, Buddy of Caneyville, KY and Jeff Hogan of Elizabethtown, KY, four sisters, Brenda Cook and Lola Miller both of Caneyville, Marie Greaser of Illinois and Barbara Cummings of Brownsville, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willard Hogan and a brother, William Boyd Hogan and a great grandchild, Bentley Piercy.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, (July 1, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Kevin Logsdon and Charlie Lacefield will be officiating. Burial will be in the Frank-Embry Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
