A Bremen woman is facing assault, wanton endangerment and drug charges after pointing a gun at her juvenile daughter.

The Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of child abuse last week on Billy Drake Road, about two miles southeast of Breman. SurfKyNews.com reports that upon arriving at the scene, a female juvenile told deputies that her mother, 37-year-old Candace Sapp, had physically abused and pointed a gun at her.

Sapp gave authorities consent to search the residence and her person where deputies located methamphetamine, a pipe and firearm in Sapp’s purse.

She was arrested and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center where she’s been charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), fourth-degree assault, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sapp is no longer listed as an inmate.
