After being on the run for nearly seven years, a man formerly from Hardin County has been indicted on child sex-related charges.

Christopher Andersen, 37, formerly of Elizabethtown, was extradited from West Virginia last month where he was serving a 39-month sentence on unrelated charges. Andersen is accused of getting a 15-year-old girl intoxicated in December 2012, and molesting her in the bathroom of an Elizabethtown home, according to the News-Enterprise. A warrant for Andersen’s arrest was issued four days after the sexual assault.

Andersen was indicted by a Hardin County Grand Jury for first-degree sodomy (incapable of consent or physically helpless), first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.

Andersen is lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
