A man has been charged with murder after an UTV accident killed a teenager in Laurel County.
Laurel County sheriff John Root said that early Sunday morning deputies arrested 24-year-old Jordan D. Obenauer, of London, and charged him with murder after he admitted drinking a variety of alcohol prior to crashing a utility vehicle.
A 17-year-old female passenger was transported to St. Joseph London hospital where she was pronounced dead. The victim is from Barbourville, in Knox County.
The crash occurred just after midnight Sunday morning off Wildcat Offroad Park, about eight miles north of London, according to Root.
Obenauer was lodged in Laurel County Corrections on a $250,000 cash bond.
