Four occupants managed to escape serious injury after a car flipped on Anneta Road in rainy conditions.

Saturday afternoon at approximately 1:40, Grayson County Deputies Rick Mehlbauer and Sean Fentress, the Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to the 2800 block of Anneta Road on the report of a single-car accident.

According to marks at the scene and first responders, 18-year-old Logan Childress, of Leitchfield, was traveling north on Anneta Road in a Hyundai Elantra when, coming out of a curve, Childress lost control of the vehicle on the rain-soaked roadway.

The Elantra entered a ditch and struck and embankment as it traveled about 100 feet after leaving the roadway, flipping onto its top.

Childress and his three passengers refused transport by EMS but took a private vehicle to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
