A man has been arrested after leading the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office on a pursuit with two small children in the car.

Thursday night at approximately 10:35, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Norder was patrolling Anneta Road, near Ambassador Shores Drive, when he attempted to execute a traffic stop on a white Nissan passenger car. The vehicle, being driven south on Anneta Road by 22-year-old Bradley Fluhr, of Louisville, fled Norder at a high rate of speed.

The chase, with speeds reaching 80 miles per hour, entered Edmonson County, with Norder remaining in pursuit. Fluhr traveled through Broadway, Bee Spring and Sweeden before turning around and traveling north on Anneta Road.

With Grayson County Deputies Mark Johnson and Sean Fentress, Kentucky State Police and an Edmonson County deputy converging on the area, Fluhr brought the Nissan to a stop on Anneta Road, just south of the Grayson County line.

Upon making contact with Fluhr, Norder discovered two toddlers in the car. Neither child was in a child restraint seat.

Fluhr was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, two counts of criminal abuse of a child under the age of 12, fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, DUI (aggravating circumstances), failure to use a child restraint device, improper passing, disregarding a stop sign, improper lane usage, failure to maintain insurance, no operators license, and speeding 26 mph over the limit.

The children were turned over to social services.

Fluhr was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
