Following the theft of two recreational vehicles Saturday night from an Elizabethtown dealership, a travel trailer has been stolen from a Morgantown auto body shop.
Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor said that between 3:00 Sunday afternoon and Monday morning at 7:00, a Keystone Springdale travel trailer was taken from Final Finish Auto Body Shop, at 382 Gardner Lane, between Hwy 70 (Rochester Road) and Hwy 185 (Bowling Green Road).
Taylor said he believes the theft is possibly linked with the taking of the two recreational vehicles in Elizabethtown over the weekend, and a recent RV theft in Ohio County.
The two RVs taken in Elizabethtown were stolen from Skaggs RV Outlet, on Commerce Drive. Surveillance video captured a light-colored one-ton Ford truck and a light-colored one-ton Dodge truck pulling two 2020 Keystone Hideout campers about 11:00 Saturday night. The surveillance video did not record the license plates of the trucks, but the vehicles were possibly beige or silver, according to police.
The combined value of the campers is about $69,000.
Anyone with information regarding these thefts is asked to contact your local law enforcement.
