A man has been arrested after having a DUI wreck near Short Creek.
Thursday afternoon at approximately 5:30, Grayson County Deputy Jason Luedke and Sgt. Fred Norder responded to the accident in 10100 block of Owensboro Road. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found that 66-year-old Steven W. Crable, of Louisville, was traveling east in a 2012 Ford F-150 truck when he left the roadway while coming out of a curve.
The vehicle traveled down a short embankment, nearly striking a concrete culvert along the way.
Upon making contact with Crable, Luedke said he had “bloodshot, glassy eyes” and was “unsteady on his feet,” according to the arrest citation.
Crable was given a field sobriety test and arrested. He admitted to the deputy, according to the citation, that he consumed alcohol, including Fireball (a mixture of whiskey and cinnamon), during the day in Shively, in Jefferson County, before driving to Grayson County.
He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
