An Owensboro man has been arrested on DUI and other charges after driving recklessly on the Western Kentucky Parkway.

Thursday night at approximately 9:30, Grayson County Deputy Andy Vincent was notified by Deputy Mark Johnson of a possible drunk driver, in a Hyundai Elantra, on the westbound WK Parkway. Vincent made contact with the vehicle at the 112 mile marker of the parkway and observed the vehicle driving erratically.

The Elantra, being driven by 21-year-old Landon McHenry, exited the parkway at Leitchfield, with Vincent initiating a traffic stop at the Valero gas station on South Main Street.

McHenry was given a field sobriety test and arrested. Vincent also located marijuana during a search of McHenry and his vehicle.

The suspect, according to Vincent, admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana about 20 minutes prior to be pulled over.

McHenry was charged with DUI, reckless driving, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia along with non-moving violations. He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

Deputy Jason Luedke assisted at the scene.
