A Caneyville woman has been arrested on multiple drug charges after driving off Yeaman Road early Sunday morning.

Sunday morning at approximately 1:00, Grayson County Central Dispatch alerted the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Falls of Rough Fire Department and EMS that a possible car accident had occurred somewhere on Yeaman Road. The female who crashed, 32-year-old Latisha D. Foreman, did not know where she was and was little help in aiding first responders find the crash site.

After about 45 minutes of searching, and following officials pinging Foreman’s cell phone, Deputy Rick Mehlbauer located Foreman and her passenger, Michael S. Reedy, over an embankment and in a tree line about 30 yards off Yeaman Road. The vehicle, a 2001 Chevrolet passenger car, suffered damage as it struck several small trees.

Upon Mehlbauer making contact with Foreman, she was out of the vehicle and walking around in a dazed state, as the arrest citation states that Foreman was “very disoriented at the scene.” She admitted to Mehlbauer that she had taken multiple pills. She also had many cuts from briars and other vegetation.

Authorities located syringes inside the car, with Mehlbauer also finding methamphetamine, pills and needles on Foreman.

Reedy, who had an uncapped syringe in his pocket, according to first responders, was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center by EMS for causes unrelated to the accident.

Foreman, who admitted to driving of the car, was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and having a prescription controlled substance not in its proper container. She was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

The investigation continues, as police said Reedy is also facing undetermined charges.
