Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty said the investigation focused on “alleged trafficking and/or consumption of crystal methamphetamine” at a home on Barrett Road, in Fordsville. Police executed a search warrant at the residence and located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested Robert Schroader, 38, Louis Canary, 58, Jonathan Carrico, 41, Crystal Carrico, 39, and Samantha Peace, 35. Each were charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Schroader, who was arrested on March 1, 2020, for taking methamphetamine into the Ohio County Detention Center, was also served with two warrants.
Canary was arrested in August of last year after deputies raided his home and located methamphetamine. In that case, he was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
The five suspects were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center. The Carricos are no longer listed as inmates.
