A Grayson County man arrested on a DUI charge in another county was three days later arrested by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office for DUI and urinating in public.

Shannon K. White, 51, whose address is listed in the 100 block of Falls of Rough Road but with a city of Fordsville designation, was recently arrested after Grayson County Sgt. Zane Greer was notified that a possible drunk driver was traveling north toward Leitchfield on Anneta Road.

Greer, who was already in the area, observed a 1994 red Chevrolet truck at approximately 6:15 in the evening, with the truck matching the description given by Grayson County Central Dispatch, according to the arrest citation.

White, Greer noticed, was not wearing a seatbelt as he pulled into the Smitty City parking lot, in the 7100 block of Anneta Road. Then White, in the presence of Greer, exited the truck and began urinating in the parking lot.

As Greer made contact with the suspect, he “smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his breath,” according to the citation, as White was also “very unsteady on his feet and his speech was slurred.”

While being questioned, White admitted to recently drinking.

He was given a field sobriety test and arrested, with his preliminary breath test showing his alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit permitted to drive, the citation states.

He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center where he was charged with DUI, indecent exposure and failure to wear a seatbelt.

Only three days prior, White was arrested in Christian County for driving under the influence.
