An intoxicated Falls of Rough man twice crossed lanes of travel on Sadler Road before hitting an embankment, flipping his vehicle.

Monday afternoon at approximately 3:30, Grayson County Deputy Rick Mehlbauer, the Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to the 1600 block of Sadler Road after 68-year-old Donnie R. Stevenson crashed a Buick LaCrosse.

Based on marks at the scene, the northbound Stevenson lost control of the Buick, entering the southbound lane and nearly leaving the roadway. Stevenson then made a hard turn back across both lanes of travel and left the roadway where the vehicle struck an embankment, flipping the Buick onto its top.

In total, the vehicle traveled about 300 feet after Stevenson initially lost control of the car.

He was given a field sobriety test and arrested. On scene, Stevenson refused a breathalyzer test and treatment by EMS, and at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center he refused a blood draw, according to police.

This marks Stevenson’s second DUI arrest since late January.

He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
