A former substitute teacher in Scott County has been arrested after having sex with a student.
Alexandria Allen, 25, of Georgetown, was arrested and charged with three counts of third-degree rape after she had an extended relationship with a 15-year-old student she was hired to tutor. Allen was a substitute teacher at Royal Springs Middle School, where the victim formerly attended.
During a forensic interview, the student admitted to having sex with Allen. The sexual contact occurred between March and October 2020.
The student’s mother reported the crime to police after discovering nude videos and photos of Allen on her son’s phone.
The mother of the victim told WLEX.com, “I was disgusted because you’re supposed to be helping him, and she wasn’t helping him at all.”
Allen was released from the Scott County Detention Center after posting a $2,500 bond.
