Grayson County’s County Attorney has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Kentucky County Attorney Association (KCAA).

Jeremy Logsdon, a longtime prosecutor and current Grayson County Attorney, was appointed to the board last month. He joins seven other county attorneys from across the commonwealth in representing the interests and goals of the 120 county attorney offices and staff members.

“I was humbled by being appointed to this board and I will serve on it with the same amount of reverence that I serve with as county attorney of my beloved home county,” Logsdon said about the appointment.

The KCAA website says the organization promotes cooperation among Kentucky’s county attorneys to:

  • Ensure strong and effective prosecution in Kentucky’s justice system.
  • Help county attorneys provide sound advice and counsel to all county agencies and organizations they serve.
  • Ensure that the mutual interests of county attorneys, their communities, and the state of Kentucky are promoted in all matters.

Logsdon was elected county attorney in May 2018 — he did not face opposition in the general election — after serving for many years in the Grayson County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office where, for much of his time, he served as First Assistant Prosecutor.
