Denver “Denny” Ray Williams, age 56, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (February 10, 2021) at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville.

He was born on January 20, 1965 in Clarkson, KY, the son of Frances Elizabeth Grant Allen and the late Johnie Williams Sr.

Denver worked as a construction worker, an automotive repair person and was self-taught in legal studies. He was a Christian and avid reader of the Bible. Denver’s hobbies included studying legal documents and writing. In addition, he was a creative thinker, in the early stages of opening a startup business. Denver lived life on his own terms.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Ashley N. Williams-Gilbert (Brian), his son, Corey C. Williams (Courtney), five grandchildren: August and Ember Gilbert, Paige, Korbyn and Alexis Williams; his mother, Frances Allen (Larry); his stepmother, MaryLee Williams; one sister, Jennifer Rainey; one brother, Johnie Williams Jr. One uncle, four aunts and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Madonna S. Williams; a brother, Johnie Dwayne Williams; and a sister, Catrina Fey.

Visitation will be held at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday (February 16, 2021). A private funeral service for immediate family will follow on Wednesday with Bro. Jay Kiper officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery.
