Joyce Marie Geary age 63, of Caneyville, KY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, (February 9, 2021) at her home.
She was born on February 24, 1957 in Breckinridge County, KY, the daughter of the late Vachel and Edna Rhodes Hinton of Axtel, KY.
Joyce was a home-maker who enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, sewing, and above all spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife to her spouse, Dannie Thomas Geary, her husband of 26 years. She was an amazing mother to her 6 children: Brittany Mudd (Adam), Breanna Geary (Jonathan), Brandi Lively (Todd), Leah Geary, Ashley Geary, and Aaron Geary. She was a proud Memaw of 10 grandchildren: Quentin, Isaiah, Jasmine, Levi, Colton, Rani, Kaleb, Vincent, Arya and Alaric.
Joyce was greeted in Heaven by her parents and her brothers, Friedell, Arnold and Johnny Hinton.
In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, Joyce is survived by her siblings: Von Pendleton (Ed), Celest Hinton (Bonnie), Lynn Powers (John) and Tommy Hinton (Lisa). Her sisters-in law, Barbara Hinton, Kathy Hinton and Joyce Hinton also survive.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, (February 18, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Christopher Edwards will be officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made to the Dermitt Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
