A chiropractor in Elizabethtown has been indicted for sexually abusing two juvenile patients, including one relative.
Matthew J. Colasanti, 33, is accused of fondling and raping an underage relative in late November after offering to perform a back adjustment, according to a report by The News-Enterprise. After being raped, the juvenile victim ran out of the room “until another adult employee came into the office so she could leave,” the newspaper reports.
A second victim, a 16-year-old girl, accuses Colasanti of touching her in an inappropriate manner on several visits between April 2020 and June 2020. She said Colasanti would rub her buttocks underneath her clothing and touch her on other areas of her body as he treated her for upper back pain.
Colasanti, who owns Colasanti Chiropractic, was indicted by a Hardin County Grand Jury for first-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse. He was originally arrested in early December 2020 but was released after posting a $50,000 cash bond.
