KSP Post 4 Activity Report: Troopers make 347 arrests, cite nearly 400 speeders

Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown has released its March Activity Report.

According KSP Post 4 Public Affairs Officer Scotty Sharp, troopers and detectives:

  • Wrote 1,758 citations and arrested 28 impaired drivers.
  • Opened 46 criminal cases, made 347 arrests and served 62 criminal court documents.
  • Cited 398 speeders and issued citations to 129 motorists for failure to wear a seat belt, with 10 citations issued for failure to use a child restraint seat.
  • Investigated 40 motor vehicle accidents and assisted 126 stranded motorists.
  • Gave 250 courtesy notices for minor traffic offenses.
  • Conducted 95 school and business security checks and answered 793 citizen complaints.
  • Were involved in 662 special details and conducted six community programs.

Sharp reminds motorists that KSP Post 4 troopers will conduct Road Safety Checkpoints as well as Speed Checkpoints throughout the eight county Post 4 coverage area during April and throughout 2021.

Kentucky State Police Post 4 covers Hardin, Jefferson, Bullitt, Nelson, Meade, Breckinridge, LaRue, and Grayson counties.
