The Shell gas station in Morgantown has been robbed at gunpoint.
Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor said the robbery occurred Wednesday morning at approximately 3:40. Taylor did not release details surrounding the armed robbery, only saying, “We are looking for help identifying this suspect.”
The man’s face can clearly be seen in surveillance photos, as the suspect appears to be in his mid- to late- 20s with dark hair and a dark beard. He was driving a dark colored Ford Mustang with dual racing stripes, according to Taylor, and based on photographs, was wearing tight, white jean-type pants (possibly skinny jeans), a white shirt, white tennis shoes, and a dark hooded jacket.
The suspect brandished what appears to be a black handgun.
The convenience store is located at 2329 South Main Street, just southeast of Morgantown I-165 exit 26.
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to contact local law enforcement.
