The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said paving work is slated to begin in Grayson County on Monday.

“Preparation work is under way for approximately eight miles of road resurfacing throughout Grayson County,” transportation cabinet spokesman Chris Jessie said. Additionally, base failure repairs and other “shoulder work” will be completed.

The work schedule is as follows:

Asphalt paving is scheduled to begin Monday on the entirety of St. Anthony from Peonia Road to Anneta Road. The work is expected to be completed by the end of the week.

Paving on Concord Road from Owensboro Road to Johnny Frank Road will begin Tuesday or Wednesday.

Following Concord Road, workers will pave Rock Creek Road from near Fragrant Road to Millerstown Road. That work should take “three or four days,” Jessie said.

After the roads are paved, Jessie noted that “contract crews will finalize shoulder work, with all work being complete by May 15.”
