A man accused of 60 counts of rape and incest in Grayson County has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.

William C. Lindsey, 65, of Beaver Dam, was indicted by a Grayson County Grand Jury in August 2018 on 60 counts of first-degree rape and incest (forcible compulsion/incapable of consent, or under 18) after he raped his biological daughter (and another juvenile) dozens of times between 1989 and 1996. Lindsey’s daughter was between nine- and 16-years-old during the commission of the crimes, according to the indictments.

In the plea deal reached with the Grayson County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, Lindsey pled guilty to rape and incest (forcible compulsion/incapable of consent, or under 18) and agreed to a 10-year sentence on each charge, according to court documents.

Formal sentencing is scheduled for May 4 in Judge Bruce Butler’s courtroom.

In Ohio County, Lindsey was initially charged with 101 counts of first-degree rape (domestic violence), 100 counts of second-degree rape, 200 counts of first-degree sexual abuse (victim under the age of 12), 200 counts of first-degree sodomy (victim under the age of 12), 100 counts of first-degree sodomy, two counts of incest (victim under the age of 12), and second-degree sexual abuse.

Lindsey was recently sentenced in Ohio County to 20 years in prison, with the Ohio County and Grayson County sentences running concurrently, per statute. He must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
