Crews have located the body of a Pulaski County doctor in Lake Cumberland.

On Wednesday afternoon, Dr. Robert Supinski, 66, a recently retired orthopaedic surgeon, drove his zero-turn lawn mower through a fence and over a 100-foot cliff behind his home on Lake House Drive in the Slate Branch area of Lake Cumberland.

A non-profit volunteer search organization, Bruce’s Legacy, joined the search for Supinski on Friday morning and located his body using sonar equipment after only a few hours. Supinski’s remains were found in 82 feet of water, according to media reports.

The Somerset-Pulaski County Rescue Squad brought Supinski’s body to the surface.

The mower Supinski was operating was found in 20 feet of water.
