KSP Post 4 Activity Report: Troopers make 286 arrests, cite 12 for failure to use child restraint seat

Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown has released its April Activity Report.

According KSP Post 4 Public Affairs Officer Scotty Sharp, troopers and detectives:

  • Wrote 1,604 citations and arrested 37 impaired drivers.
  • Opened 56 criminal cases, made 286 arrests and served 43 criminal court documents.
  • Cited 469 speeders and issued citations to 99 motorists for failure to wear a seat belt, with 12 citations issued for failure to use a child restraint seat.
  • Investigated 40 motor vehicle accidents and assisted 132 stranded motorists.
  • Gave 259 courtesy notices for minor traffic offenses.
  • Conducted 99 school and business security checks and answered over 700 citizen complaints.
  • Were involved in 612 special details and conducted eight community programs.

Sharp reminds motorists that KSP Post 4 troopers will conduct Road Safety Checkpoints as well as Speed Checkpoints throughout the eight county Post 4 coverage area during May and throughout 2021.

Kentucky State Police Post 4 covers Hardin, Jefferson, Bullitt, Nelson, Meade, Breckinridge, LaRue, and Grayson counties.
