Law enforcement agencies around Kentucky are searching for a murder suspect accused of killing a Richmond woman.
Authorities are looking for 40-year-old Hector Hernandez-Diaz, of Richmond, who is accused of murdering 35-year-old Andrea Hernandez, of Richmond, Tuesday night.
Richmond police said Hernandez-Diaz should be considered armed and dangerous. He is thought to be driving a gray 2003 Volkswagon Passat bearing license plate number BFD078.
The murder investigation began Wednesday morning, Richmond police said, when Lexington police tipped off Richmond authorities about a possible homicide on Earlene Court, a densely populated area of Richmond. Police arrived at the home at about 3:30 Wednesday morning and found Hernandez had been killed.
Police said it appears she was slain sometime late Tuesday night.
Authorities have not revealed the relationship, if any, between the victim and her assailant.
