Sharon Lee Ray, age 70, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away Friday, (May 21, 2021) at her home.
She was born on July 1, 1950 in Streator, Illinois, the daughter of the late Walt and Ann Crumshac Hallam.
She was a housewife and former cook who enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, watching the hummingbirds and, more than anything else, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, George Ray Jr. (Argelis “Heli”) of Elizabethtown, Joe Ray (Lelia Jones) of Bowling Green, KY, and Adam Ray (Dawn) of Leitchfield, KY; 10 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; a brother, William “Billy”, and three sisters, Christine, Sally and Kathy. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Ray Sr.; five brothers, Jim, Henry, Dave, Jack and Hodge and a sister, Linda.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (May 28, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Shrewsbury Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
