Members of the same Hardin County family have been arrested after intentionally causing more than $2,500 damage to a vehicle and nearly causing a wreck.

On Wednesday morning, Radcliff police arrested 34-year-old Edward C. Ritchey, his wife, 29-year-old Regina S. Ritchey, and Regina Ritchey’s mother, 57-year-old Sue H. Ferguson, all of Radcliff, after Ferguson poured a mixture of sugar and water in the gas tank of a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado early Monday morning. The two Ritcheys served as lookouts.

All have been charged with complicity to commit first-degree criminal mischief and complicity to commit first-degree wanton endangerment. Both class D felonies. All three suspects were captured on surveillance video.

The three caused $2,538 worth of damage to the truck, according to The News-Enterprise. The newspaper also reports that when the truck’s owner attempted to drive the truck it “seized up, and lost power steering,” nearly causing a collision.

All three were lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
