Grayson County High School’s Matthew Haycraft has committed to play soccer at Lindsey Wilson College.

Haycraft, who graduated early in December 2020, finished his high school career with 39 career goals and 56 assists. He was a key peg for the Cougar boys team that has won the last two 11th District championships.

“We’re really excited for Matthew,” said GCHS head coach Kenny Fukuhara. “He deserves this chance to play at the next level. He has worked tirelessly over the years to get to the point where he is at.”

In 2018, Haycraft finished 3rd in the entire state in assists. The next year, he followed it up with a 13th best finish in the statistic.

“Matthew didn’t miss a single training over the course of 6 years,” added Fukuhara. “He was a leader by example for our program. We can only expect Matthew to move on to the next level and continue to work hard and chase his dreams.”
